Next week, February 29th-March 4th, we will be celebrating Read Across America Week. This week is designed to promote the simple joy of reading for fun, fun, FUN! And on Wednesday, March 2nd, we will celebrate the 112th birthday of our beloved Dr. Seuss! As part of the week's activities, we invite you to reply to our latest blog questions:
1. What is the title of your favorite Dr. Seuss book? 2. Why do you like that book? 3. What was your favorite part? You can reply as an individual. Teachers, especially those of our younger students, are invited to reply as an entire class. I also invite parents and other Fisher Marlin supporters to submit their answers as well. I look forward to reading your replies! I have written about one of my favorites below. One of my favorite Dr. Seuss books is "Oh the Places You Will Go" because I like that it encourages children of all ages to believe in their dreams and work for them. I also like "Fox in Socks" because I enjoy tongue twisters and this book is full of them. It's fun to read this book with students and laugh ourselves silly trying to repeat the tongue twisters in the book!
