Library Crew is a select group of 4th and 5th grade students who are trained in the ways of the library and who help the library run smoothly. Fifth graders who were in Library Crew last year (as fourth graders) are automatically in Library Crew this year! Any other 4th or 5th grade student may apply, but not every student may be selected. The choice will be made based on the student's application and teacher reference, as well as how much room there is on the crew roster. Please see the document "Library Crew Information" on the right for more about the Library Crew.

LinksOrder in the Library GameThis is the online game students have to pass in order to graduate to each level of Library Crew. You can play it at home to practice!
These levels are inclusive. That means that students at one level will be able to complete the tasks for which they are trained, as well as any levels for which they were trained earlier. For example. if a student reaches the Master level, that student will be able to perform the tasks assigned to that level as well as those at the Apprentice level and the Expert level. See below for a description of each level. For the 2015-2016 school year, we will begin with just 3 levels.
Apprentice - Can straighten shelves; knows the layout of the library; can find a book for themselves on in the new catalog and on the shelves; can sort books into piles of Fiction, Easy Fiction, Non-Fiction, and Easy Non-Fiction; has completed Level 1 of the "Order in the Library" game. Expert - Can shelve Fiction and Easy Fiction books, including Story Collection books; has completed levels 2, 3, and 4 of the "Order in the Library" game.
