The Fisher Marlin News Crew is a talented group of 5th grade students who are trained in the different roles of our morning news team. Students who are currently on the News Crew were chosen at the end of last school year so that we would be ready to broadcast on the first day of school. Any other 5th grade student may apply, but not every student may be selected.
The decision will be made based on the student's application and teacher reference, as well as how much room there is on the crew roster. Students who are chosen must responsible, punctual, reliable, well-behaved, flexible, and able to work well with the team. Students will be able to specify whether they would like to work as announcers, behind the scenes in one of the other team positions, or both. Students who wish to be announcers will need to pass an audition. Parents, if your crew member is unable to report for news team duty on any of their assigned dates, please call the front office at 210/397-4450 or Mrs. Totin in the library at 210/397-4474 to inform them as soon as possible. This will let us know that we need to find a substitute. Thank you! Please see the information links on the right for more about the News Crew. |
